What is “green” and why should you care? Tamara Mahoney Kniesel, a Preferred Properties broker, can help you wade through the rhetoric and understand the environmental reality of the residences you are considering as your next home. Kniesel has been awarded the National Association of Realtors Green Designation, after completing the course of study designed for NAR realtors. Sarah is no longer on Old South Gaylord. Sarah Penewell, owner of the stylish clothing boutique bearing her name, has given up her longtime space at 1067 S. Gaylord St. to pursue greener pastures.
Stepping in to Penewell’s shoes, so to speak, is Barbara & Co., an equally fashionable women’s boutique that has held forth at Tamarac Square (7777 E. Hampden Ave.) for some 26 years. Owner Kathy King, who will maintain operations at her Boulder location – 1505 Pearl St., “three businesses off the mall” – is currently selling off the Tamarac inventory at savings of 50 percent and more in preparation for a S. Gaylord St. opening, sometime in mid-August.
To take advantage of the close-out prices, stop by Tamarac, Mon.-Sat., 10a.m.- 6p.m., or Sun., noon-5p.m., through June. For more information, call 303-751-2618.
