Family Friendly Denver Hotels

Comfort Inn Value to Hotel Monaco Luxury

Six centrally located Denver, Colorado, lodging options that offer great amenities for families.

Denver is an urban playground for children, with lots of big-city attractions for kids and adults alike. But where to stay if you visit the Mile-High City with your children? Here are some kid-friendly accommodations for your family’s future travel to Denver:

Hotel Monaco

Hip and stylish, the Hotel Monaco has been voted among the “Top 500 Hotels in the World.” But don’t let that deter you from bringing your kids to this luxury, boutique hotel the next time you travel to Colorado’s capital city. Children (and adults!) find the eclectic décor and bright colors engaging. Guests also love being greeted by the house mascot, Georgie Mac, a Shih Tzu who is the Director of Pet Relations. All pets are welcomed here, and if you’re traveling without yours, you can borrow a goldfish to keep you company—at no extra charge. The hotel in LoDo (lower downtown) means it’s within walking distance of Coors Field and the Colorado Convention Center.

Denver Marriott City Center

This luxury property soars high above downtown Denver and is steps away from the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, with loads of shops and family-friendly restaurants. The Denver Marriott City Center features an on-site pool, a kid-friendly Allie’s American Grille and suites with in-room refrigerators.

Adam’s Mark

Denver’s largest hotel boasts 1,225 rooms, including 92 suites, and a premier downtown location. Kids can play in the outdoor, all-season heated pool at the Adam’s Mark. All ages get a kick out of the singing waters at its festive Bravo Ristorante, serving up Italian food for lunch and dinner.

Comfort Inn

This is one of the city’s best value-oriented lodging options for families. It’s adjacent to the luxurious Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, accessible via a nifty second-floor skybridge, but not nearly as upscale as its next-door neighbor. The Comfort Inn offers 22 suites with a separate bedroom and living room, so families can spread out (put the kids on the pull-out sofa), complimentary full breakfast, a fitness center, and a fabulous location just a block away from the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall and its free trolley (a great way to while away time with children).

Loews Denver Hotel

This Denver hotel, like all the Loews properties, welcomes children with a special gift bag, and older kids and teens can borrow hand-held video games from a lending closet. The on-site Tuscany restaurant has a kids’ menu. Rooms and suites at the Loews Denver feature plush linens, coffeemaker, and aromatherapy toiletries. This hotel isn’t downtown, but minutes away from the Cherry Creek shopping district and awesome Cherry Creek paved river trail, where you’ll find lots of exercise enthusiasts biking, rollerblading, and running in the warm-weather months. Plenty of parks for outdoor playtime are nearby, too.

Red Lion Hotel

If you’re in town for a Denver Broncos game, these are the accommodations for you. Just steps away is Invesco Field, home of the Superbowl-winning team. It’s also minutes from some of Denver’s biggest attractions for kids: Six Flags Elitch Gardens, Downtown Aquarium, and the Children’s Museum. Rates are reasonable at the Denver Red Lion Hotel and the Skybox Grill and Sports Bar offers kid-friendly fare. The outdoor pool here is heated.
